Jill 9 was born from latest obsession with Queen Anne’s Lace. My last few paintings have included it. I just love how dainty yet full of color the blooms are. I saw this striped footed vessel while on vacation, snapped a photo and ran home to paint it! I have also included these striped vessels in several of my last few paintings. The blooms and the vessel just work so well together and I was able to create endless beautiful colors. This is one of my most beloved paintings for sure! I love this soft blue background and all of the fun and loose brushmarks used to make this painting work. XO, Kristi
