Melissa 2 is named after one of my long-time friends from Chapel Hill Dental School. The real Melissa lives in Charlotte and I am lucky to see her often. This piece was born after I saw a photo of this vessel in a catalog. I loved the various blue colors and shapes. I wanted to try something new with the colors I incorporated in this piece. The hydrangeas are bright yet soft. Lots of pastels so that the vessel can shine! XO, Kristi
